A robotic laser cutting system has been integrated into the CAD/CAM system for automotive development. An automatic teaching sensor adapts the NC data to fit it to the actual panel. Interference sensors and flexible software can be applied to manufacture complex 3-dimensional automotive components. Several kinds of laser machines can be operated with common data.
