The unterwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) is mathematically modeled regarding the movement in two coordinate systems: the absolute, concerning the environment of the vehicle and the relative system, concerning the ROV as object. The base dynamic equations of motion, the hydrodynamic forces and moments, the buoyancy forces and moments, and the influence of the disturbance forces and moments are composed into a general movement model using the kinetostatic method. The model is composed from six nonlinear differential equations, adapted to the numeric methods used in the computer aided calculations procedures. The base problem is to get a great number of coefficients, which can be achieved exclusively by experiments. (Jarc)
