A Rankine source method (REVA), which gives good results for wave resistance calculations of conventional hulls at Froude numbers between 0,2 and 0,5, is extended to air cushion and surface effect ships. The air cushion is treated by local modification of the free-surface condition. Numerical results for an air cushion are compared to analytical solutions. Then the method is applied to surface effect ship.
