The paper deals with the analysis of a composite wingbox, under the most complete conditions of geometry and loading. Kinematics is defined through parameters of rigid motion in the ribs plane, and axial displacements of the stringers. For other points, linear chordwise and spanwise variations are assumed. By using anisotropic elasticity laws, the strain energy can be defined in terms of Lagrangian parameters, the corresponding discrete equations are written, and solved through methods of successive approximations. Numerical examples show the effect of anisotropicity, which tend to reduce stiffness and increase stresses disuniformity. Need for a high number of Lagrangian parameters is also stressed.
