A procedure for an analytical evaluation of fatigue life S-N curves for fillet welded joints in bending has been proposed. The relation between stress range and the number of cycles to crack initiation has been based on the Morrow formula including stress ratio (R) effect. An analogous relation for crack propagation period is based on LEFM approach. A correction function of geometry (Y) in the formula for stress intensity factor in a simplified form easy to integration has been proposed. Stress concentration factor has been evaluated by Niu and Glinka formula. The S-N curves evaluated by the procedure have been compared to test results taken from references. Agreement between the tests and the calculations results (23 curves) is satisfactory for a tentative approach, except in the very long life region for sharpest notches at the weld toe
