A method using a model transient dynamics approach to simulate a structure durability test using a long load time history, to identify critical elements, to calculate stress response of those critical elements, and predict their fatigue life is presented. Two examples of vehicle structural durability analysis show that the method is extremely efficient and practical, and that simulation of vehicle test and fatigue life analysis using dynamics by CAE is feasible.
