A model is given in this paper for computing the probability of aircraft dangerous longitudinal approach from the point of statistics. It can be seen from the model that probability of aircraft dangerous longitudinal approach is closely connected with the geometry dimensions of the aircraft concerned, aircraft longitudinal separations, air route length, aircraft flow, etc.. This model provides the theoretical foundation for air route programming and improvement.
