This paper suggests a dynamic model to describe the day-to-day departure-time swapping behaviors in commuting trips. The model is formulated as a finite dimension discrete dynamic with the departure flows in different time intervals being the swapping and evolution variables. The new model can maintain solution invariance and its stationary departure flow pattern is equivalent to the departure user equilibrium. In the end, a simple numerical simulation is performed to characterize the present departure-time swapping dynamic model.
