In order to realize the warning at the fixed time for the trains closed to the railway crossing, a design method for speed measuring of railway crossing was proposed based on track circuit. Two 25-meter track circuits were set at far end of railway crossing, when the trains closed to the railway crossing, the two track circuits was operation in turns. The single-chip circuit was used to calculated the time interval of the two track circuits operation, then the speed of trains was known and sent to the crossing control center and we can determine the reasonable time about the crossing closed. Experimental results show that speed accuracy can be achieved 0.1m/S that can meet the system requirements.
