The goal of building parametric geometries is to make the most of the potential of optimization algorithms. Many of these require the computation of design sensitivities (with respect to the design variables) and doing this efficiently often requires us to delve deep into the geometry formulation itself. This chapter takes a look at some of the efficient ways of computing sensitivities. Detailed examples are included.
