Over the last 10 years, researchers and developers shows a significant evolution in the development of intelligent transport systems (ITS) i.e. self-driving cars. One of the challenging issues that researchers are faced with these systems is the detection and recognition of traffic signs. Using computer vision to identify, detect, and classify objects (such as traffic signs) is a problem that is currently difficult to solve. Traffic signs serve a prominent role in protecting drivers and pedestrians from deadly threats that occur due to accidents. There are more than 4000 accidents occur every day in a country that drops 3% GDP of the nation yearly. There have been numerous studies carried out using computer vision for automatic Traffic Sign Detection and Recognition (TSDR) which produced good results. In this paper, the author studied various object detection models.
