Windsor and her sister ships are single screw cargo vessels having length 435 ft, beam 58 ft 6 in., depth 38 ft, and service speed about 13 knots; powered by opposed piston Doxford type, 2 cycle airless injection engine developing 4400 bhp at 115 rpm; originality of design in hull structure, machinery, and cargo handling arrangements provides economical sea speed and efficient port turn around.
