Draws attention to ballast-performance problem and suggests that twin-screw vessel has clear advantages over single-screw in ballast condition, and particularly for motor vessels where twin-engine installation is advantage rather than reverse; necessity for study of service data is emphasized. (see also brief translated abstract in Mar. Engr. and Motorship Bldr., vol. 51, no. 616, Dec. 1928, p. 473)
