"Primer" training plane is being developed by Materie l Division Laboratories for further aid in step between ground tests and first handling of controls in air; small fuselage body with rudder, elevator and aileron control surfaces operated by standard airplane controls; plane is sent "flying" in slipstream of tractor propeller driven by 15-hp. electric motor, plane itself mounted in double tripod frame 20 ft. high.
