Description of model flying machine devised by U. S. Army Air Corps for training prospective pilots; this machine differs from Ruggles orientator and similar training devices in that it simulates faithfully all of experiences encountered in actual flight; conventional fuselage body on reduced scale with rudder, elevator, and aileron control surfaces; 15-hp. electric motor drives propeller; mechanical airplane instructor is mounted on double tripod frame 20 ft. high.
