In vessel Djambi, 5200b.hp. Diesel engine replaces 3500-b.hp. geared turbine plant in same machinery space; speed raised from 12 to 14 knots; 444 ft. b.p.; beam 56 ft.; depth 36 ft. 11 1/2 in.; propelling motor is standard M.A.N. type built by Fijenoord Co., and designed to develop 5200 b.hp. at 100 r.p.m., having normal bore and stroke of 700 mm. and 1200 mm. respectively.
