Gallagher, said to be largest direct drive Diesel tug operating on New York Harbor, was recently completed and ran trial trip on November 11; length o.a. 100 ft., molded depth 11 ft. 8 1/2 in.; powered with Fairbanks-Morse 5-cylinder 2-cycle airless-injection Diesel rated 700 s.hp. at 250 r.p.m.; engine weighs 87,466 lbs.
