New grade crossing, floodlighting system, known as Cimco system, installed by Chicago and Illinois Midland Railroad, which eliminates side-of-train collisions, and comprises at each location two floodlights, one on each side of crossing; features embodied include elimination of glare in eyes of both automobile drivers and enginemen, protection against failure of lamps, continuous dusk to dawn operation, and low maintenance cost.
