To meet new demands and loads, City of Hammond, has installed system of nine automatically controlled pumping stations to augment sewage system under storm conditions; system has combined capacity of 195, 000 gpm provided by 21 motor driven angle-flow pumps operating during periods of abnormal flow; newest of stations is Hohmann-Munster station which serves as combined dry weather and storm water ejector plant.
