Control scheme, termed "bank angle" control for spinning satellite is capable of maintaining vehicle spin axis normal to orbit plane; it uses body-mounted horizon detectors, mass ejection system which produces calibrated impulses, and small and lightweight passive damper; steady-state behavior and transient response (initial stabilization) of system are analyzed.
