New ore-loading jetty constructed at Port Etienne, in Mauritania, French West Africa, includes facilities for unloading railway wagons, stockpiling, screening, reclaiming, weighing, blending, and loading ore into carrying vessel berthed at jetty; ship loading plant, jetty approach structure and jetty head are described; southward extension of jetty head is oil jetty formed by 3 gabions interconnected by steel footbridge.
