Chief features of road transport operated by United Kingdom Commercial Corp; road transport systems were built up over 3 yr with two distinct organizations, one in West of Persia with 4000 trucks and other in East of Persia with 1000 vehicles in all employing over 12,000 men; operation was centrally controlled from Teheran where forward planning for movement of freight was decided; truckable cargoes varied from all kinds of raw materials to canned food and ammunition.
