Purpose of study is to develop and explain several cost equations which as group comprise significant cost of transport operation as defined. Part I: Nature of overhead costs; effect on significant cost of varying cruising power available, cruising power required, airplane first cost and trip length. Part II: Presentation of airplane characteristics in terms of significant operating cost. Part III: Economic factors not associated with design and performance. Before Inst Aeronautical Sciences.
