Rotorcraft is defined as VTOL aircraft which is supported by rotors or propellers which rotate in open air in substantially horizontal plane; this includes autogyros, helicopters, tilt-rotor and tilt-wing aircraft; it does not include deflected slip stream STOL aircraft, jet lift aircraft and fan lift aircraft; assessment of probable development of rotorcraft within environment of technical evolution and influence that this development may exert on other technologies; automatic flight control system, and its elements are shown in block diagram.
