Major results of recent researches are reported, being classified into running tests, rail welding, wooden tie and maintenance of track; running tests were conducted to investigate running stability of ruptured rail, dynamic effect of flat of wheel on track, dynamic stresses of prestressed concrete ties, dynamic behaviors of high embankment under high-speed traffic loading, and measurement of train wind at test section of new Tokaido line.
