Pennsylvania's new Budd-built tubular train uses electric energy for all train services and can be hauled by either electric or diesel electric locomotive; service electric power is developed by two diesel generator sets in 53 ft power car, and transmitted to seven 85 ft coaches by 3-phase, 440 v train lines; each coach has seating capacity of 82 passengers, and weighs 93,000 lb; weight of power car is 112,000 lb; construction data.
