Results of tests and adjustments of automatic train control (ATC) and other signal and safety devices that were conducted over entire length of line between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka are summarized; continuous type ATC for trains running at 200 km/hr, noninsulated ATC, induction limit of track circuit, and performance of switching and locking devices were tested.
