Trains built by St. Louis Car Co, will be placed in strictly local service, replacing 6 steam locomotives and 16 cars; each of trains built mostly of low alloy high tensile steel, is slightly over 153 ft long and weighs 342,880 lb; power car is equipped with Diesel electric power plant, developing 750 net hp; engines are of Fairbanks Morse opposed piston Diesel type.
