General Osorio, a 12,000-ton ship with accommodation for second and third-class passengers, built and engined at Bremen Vulkan Vegesack yard; propelling machinery represents something of departure from normal M.A.N. type double-acting two-stroke type; length b.p. 492 ft.; injection-air compressors are driven at center of engine from crankshaft; fresh-water cooling is employed for cylinders and pistons; for supply of scavenging air there are three electrically driven turbo-blowers.
