Methods adopted for handling wheels and tires at new Vauxhall-Bedford factory at Luton, where commercial vehicles are manufactured; functions of handling system include receiving, unloading and storing wheels and tires, issuing wheels and tires on schedule to assembly station, assembling wheels, and inflating tires to correct pressure and delivering complete sets of wheels to vehicle assembly line.
