Method and equipment being employed on Texas and Louisiana lines to bring sagging rail ends back to true level, straightening bent joint bars at same time, preliminary to attempt to correct conditions by welding; based upon several years' practice covering more than 60 track mi of joints, method is considered practicable and safe, while effecting large savings in materials.
