Project, described from points of view of user and operator, is under construction and scheduled to be completed in early 1964; it consists of large drydock, repair quay that can be used for fitting out and engine installation of largest vessels, and tanker cleaning and gas freeing installation, workshops and facilities; drydock, gate dock equipment and particularly bilge blocks, which are novel, and services available are described; dock is 1000 ft long from meeting face of gate to head of dock, with 145 ft clear width through gate and 150 ft clear width between alter faces in barrel of dock.
