Paper describes some of weapons handling problems resulting from current trend toward multipurpose aircraft and weapons, and solutions to problems of weapons handling and aircraft rearming; Naval aviation developed shipboard aircraft (which can also be landbased), and landbased aircraft (patrol bombers for antisubmarine warfare or long range bombing); aircraft types include high wing, low wing, bomb bay, and seaplane; development of multiple bomb rack makes it possible for naval aircraft to carry as many bombs as World War II heavy bomber.
