Fundamental morphological study which revealed advantages of PROFAC (Propulsive Fluid Accumulator) system over conventional rockets is summarized and comparison made of launch mass, energy and power requirements for various missions where PROFAC is used with missions using nuclear, chemical or hybrid systems; basic design and optimization procedures for space vehicles and orbital vehicles making up PROFAC system are presented; it appears that order-of-magnitude decrease of cost of space missions is possible by use of PR OFAC.
