Traffic lights are part of construction equipment plant in rebuilding of 1 1/2 mi causeway at Edenton, NC; with traffic directed to single lane on half of old structure, building of half-width of new 26-ft roadway could be carried out; lights at each end of single lane sections were arranged for manual control from towers when traffic was heavy, or they could be switched to automatic timing when traffic was light.
