New port inaugurated in June 1962 is designed to handle 6 million tons of iron ore per year; capacity of its installation which will be reached in 1965 is as follows -- railway car unloading, 4000 tph; stocking, 4000 tph; ship loading, 6000 tph; mechanical installations as well as construction work on piers, quays, and mooring bunkers are described.
