Vessel Eros built by Harland and Wolff, Ltd, Belfast; length oa 431 ft; breadth molded 54 ft 6 in.; depth molded 33 ft 6 in.; propelled by 4-crank triple-expansion engine, working in conjunction with Metropolitan-Vickers exhaust turbine, supplying propulsion motor on main shafting, and designed for max continuous service power of 6400 ihp at 90 rpm.
