The invention provides an intelligent traffic signal control method based on a pipeline model. The method can improve the running quality when a vehicle passes through an intersection; the core concept of the intelligent traffic signal control method based on the pipeline model comprises the followings: firstly, enabling the vehicle in car networking to communicate with an infrastructure, building the pipeline model for accurately detecting vehicle information by virtue of a road side unit, secondly, accurately collecting the vehicle information of the vehicles entering and exiting the pipeline in real time, and finally, using the information to reasonably distribute the traffic flow green-light passing time in all directions. The intelligent traffic signal control method disclosed by the invention can be adapted to dynamic change of the traffic flow, effectively reduce the average stopping and waiting time and average stopping frequency of the vehicles on the premise of ensuring the passing amount, and improve the running quality in the intersection.
