The invention discloses a high-speed reversing protection device for a gearbox. The high-speed reversing protection device for the gearbox comprises the gearbox, an advancing control valve, a retreating control valve, a gear shifting switch, a speed sensor and a controller. The gear shifting switch is provided with a retreating gear position and an advancing gear position, the retreating gear position and the advancing gear position are electrically connected with the retreating control valve and the advancing control valve through the controller respectively, and the speed sensor is electrically connected with the controller. A set speed value allowing reversing to be conducted is recorded in the controller in advance, and in the reversing process, only when the speed value which is received by the controller and is detected by the speed sensor is smaller than the set speed value can the advancing control valve or the retreating control valve be controlled to be electrically connected with the gear shifting switch. According to the high-speed reversing protection device for the gearbox, a forklift can only achieve the speed changing of advancing and retreating within a safety traveling speed, so that energy generated by slipping of a clutch plate in the high-speed reversing process is reduced, the service life of a clutch and the like in the gearbox is prolonged, and meanwhile potential risks of high-speed reversing to a driver are lowered.
