The invention provides a building elevator inquiry unit comprising an elevator controller (1), an elevator call input unit (2), an elevator movement unit (3), an elevator floor induction unit (4), an elevator GPRS (general packet radio service) positioning unit (5), a wireless elevator communication unit (6) and an elevator inquiry APP (application) (7). The output end of the elevator call input unit (2), the input end of the elevator movement unit (3) and the output end of the elevator floor induction unit (4) are electrically connected with the elevator controller (1), the elevator GPRS positioning unit (5) and the wireless elevator communication unit (6) are bidirectionally and electrically connected with the elevator controller (1); the wireless elevator communication unit (6) and the elevator inquiry APP (7) are wirelessly connected through a network. The device can allow a user to inquire the elevator location and elevator running direction in advance, the user can schedule own time according to the inquired elevator information, great convenience is brought to users, and time of the user for waiting the elevator is saved.
