The invention discloses a single road intersection traffic signal control method based on real-time traffic information. The single road intersection traffic signal control method comprises the steps of: establishing a single road intersection traffic signal safety control mathematical model based on real-time traffic information; solving the mathematical model by adopting a self-adaptive timing algorithm based on real-time traffic information; setting green-light release shortest time, green-light release longest time and green-light release time in saturated traffic flow respectively through terms and marks, decision variable and objective functions; judging whether a safety accident occurs in multiple lanes; and judging the queuing length of a current phase position. On the basis of establishing the single road intersection traffic signal safety control mathematical model based on real-time traffic information, the single road intersection traffic signal control method based on real-time traffic information adopts the self-adaptive timing algorithm for controlling the intersection according to real-time vehicle queuing length and traffic safety state, and achieves dynamic optimization timing of single road intersection traffic signals on the premise of ensuring traffic safety.
