The invention discloses a manual carrier with a locking mechanism. The manual carrier comprises a frame, a handle, a stamping ascending device, a hydraulic cylinder and the locking mechanism, wherein the frame is composed of a pallet fork, a front plate, a top plate and a bearing base; the handle is composed of a handrail and a vertical rod, and a sleeve on the vertical rod is connected with the top plate; the stamping ascending device is connected with the bearing base and comprises a parallelogram mechanism and a second-grade rod group; the hydraulic cylinder is connected with the bearing base; the locking mechanism is composed of a clamping ring and a locking block; the vertical rod is sleeved with the clamping ring, and a shifting body extending outwards in the radial direction is arranged on the clamping ring; the locking block is hinged to the support and provided with a shifted body extending towards the shifting body, and the outer side of the lower end of the locking block is provided with a tooth-shaped protruding portion; and after the pallet fork ascends, the shifting body can make contact with the shifted body when the handle is rotated so as to enable the locking block to rotate, and the tooth-shaped protruding portion and a connecting frame rod of the parallelogram mechanism are clamped. According to the manual carrier, rapid ascending is ensured, and reliable locking is achieved after ascending while slow descending is achieved.
