The invention discloses a crawler-type mobile platform passively adaptive to a terrain. The crawler-type mobile platform comprises an intermediate body and crawler units. The intermediate body comprises a main body, laterally rotating shafts and a balancing device. The two laterally rotating shafts are arranged on both sides of the main body in a pivoting manner; the balancing device is connected with the main body and the two laterally rotating shafts; the two crawler units on which crawlers are arranged comprise crawler body frames, flexible hanger brackets and bearing wheels; the crawler body frames are connected with one ends of the laterally rotating shafts; the flexible hanger brackets are connected with the crawler body frames; the bearing wheels are connected with the crawler body frames through the flexible hanger brackets. According to the invention, the crawler units and the main body are connected by the balancing device and the laterally rotating shafts, and the bearing wheels and the crawler body frames are connected by the flexible hanger brackets, so that the crawler-type mobile platform can passively adapt to ups and downs of the terrain and further the stability is improved to a certain extent. The invention also provides a robot having the crawler-type mobile platform.
