The invention relates to an elevator article, in particular to a hydraulic buffer which is used in an oil way of an electromagnetic hydraulic reversing valve of an elevator to enable the flowing speed of oil to be increased. The hydraulic buffer is characterized by comprising a cylinder; an oil inlet is formed in one end of the cylinder; an oil return opening is formed in the other end of the cylinder; an annular groove is formed in the middle of the inner side wall of the cylinder; the outer side wall of the section, corresponding to the annular groove, of the cylinder is provided with an oil outlet communicated with the annular groove; a piston is arranged in an inner cavity of the cylinder; a communicating hole penetrating the piston in the axial direction is formed in the end face of the piston; a spiral groove is formed in the outer wall of the piston; the spiral groove is communicated with the section, between the piston and the oil inlet, of the inner cavity of the cylinder; the width of the spiral groove is gradually reduced from the end close to the oil inlet to the other end; and a compression spring is arranged between the piston and the section, corresponding to the oil return opening, of the inner cavity of the cylinder. The hydraulic buffer is arranged in the oil way of the electromagnetic hydraulic reversing valve, the impact on a driving part is small, and the service life of the driving part can be prolonged.
