The invention provides a bionic tree-dwelling reconnaissance and monitoring robot which comprises a main control chamber, hip joint torque motors, mechanical legs, universal wheel modules, a reconnaissance and monitoring device and a solar panel module. The four mechanical legs and the two universal wheel modules can be used in cooperation with the hip joint torque motors to achieve three workingstates of land traveling, tree climbing and tree dwelling. During tree climbing, the robot can circumferentially move around a tree to avoid obstacles. The reconnaissance and monitoring device comprises cameras, reconnaissance and monitoring cameras and infrared thermal imagers so as to achieve all-weather work in daytime and nighttime, provide surrounding environment information, and feed back the situation on site through wireless transmission. The solar panel module is capable of converting solar energy into electric energy for storage so as to meet the power demand of a whole system. The bionic tree-dwelling reconnaissance and monitoring robot can be applied to tasks such as tree health condition monitoring, forest fire early warning, wildlife movement track dynamic monitoring, military reconnaissance and the like, and can satisfy the requirements of people for long-distance reconnaissance and monitoring so as to liberate people from onerous, remote and dangerous working environments.
