Provided is a hook mounting structure in which a tow hook and a vehicle body-side hook mounting section are stacked on each other in a fastening direction intersecting the vehicle front-rear direction, thereby creating a pre-fastened state, and then the tow hook, which is in the pre-fastened state, is fastened and affixed to the hook mounting section by bolts and nuts. The shaft of each of the bolts integrally has: a non-threaded section having a non-male thread shape and extending from the head of the bolt; and a threaded section having a male thread shape and extending from the non-threadedsection. The outer diameter of the non-threaded sections is set to be greater than or equal to the outer diameter of the threaded sections. The axial length of the non-threaded section of each of thebolts from the bolt head to the threaded section is set so that, in a hook mounted state created by inserting the bolt shafts through bolt insertion holes in the tow hook which is in the pre-fastenedstate and through bolt insertion holes in the hook mounting section and then engaging and tightening the nuts on the threaded sections, the non-threaded sections extend through the boundary between the hook mounting section and the tow hook.
