The invention discloses an intelligent carrying robot which is composed of a material vehicle, a mechanical arm and a controller. The material vehicle and the mechanical arm are both automatically controlled through the controller; the material vehicle is provided with a suspension chassis; the mechanical arm is fixed onto the suspension chassis through a mechanical arm rotary table; a protective shell is further arranged on the top of the suspension chassis, and is provided with a material bin; and the protective shell is provided with a man-machine interaction control screen, a laser radar and a visual camera which are respectively connected with the controller. The carrying robot provided by the invention is high in automation degree, and manual control is not needed in the whole process, so that the labor cost is reduced, and meanwhile, potential safety hazards during manual carrying are avoided; and through the arranged laser radar and the arranged visual camera, cargoes are automatically recognized and carried, and the advancing road condition of the carrying robot is monitored in real time, so that the material vehicle can automatically avoid obstacles in the advancing process, and accurate carrying of the cargoes is achieved.
