The method comprises the following steps of tracking a to-be-detected target in a to-be-detected video to obtain a tracking result; obtaining a to-be-detected area corresponding to the to-be-detected video; according to the tracking result of the to-be-detected target, calculating the driving characteristics of the to-be-detected target in the to-be-detected area; according to the driving characteristics of the to-be-detected target in the to-be-detected area, judging whether the to-be-detected area is blocked or not; when the to-be-detected area is blocked, acquiring an associated area corresponding to the to-be-detected area; and according to the tracking result of the to-be-detected target, obtaining a target trajectory of the to-be-detected target in the to-be-detected area when the to-be-detected area is blocked, and obtaining a target state of the to-be-detected target according to the position relationship among the to-be-detected target trajectory, the to-be-detected area and the associated area. By adopting the method, the accuracy can be improved.
