The invention provides a resistance increasing and load shedding method for a high-speed train, which comprises the following steps of: constructing a resistance increasing plate with a wing-shaped section, and arranging a high lift device capable of rotating relative to the resistance increasing plate at the rear edge of the resistance increasing plate; a resistance increasing plate with a high lift device is installed on the top of the high-speed train through a transmission mechanism; when the resistance of the high-speed train needs to be increased, the resistance increasing plate is controlled to be perpendicular to the top face of the high-speed train; when load shedding needs to be conducted on the high-speed train, the resistance increasing plate and incoming flow are controlled to be in a certain incidence angle state, the high lift device is controlled to rotate relative to the resistance increasing plate, and the deflection angle between the high lift device and the resistance increasing plate is changed so as to increase lift force. According to the resistance increasing and load shedding method for the high-speed train, resistance increasing in the train running process can be achieved, lifting force can be provided through the resistance increasing plate and the increasing device when the high-speed train accelerates or runs at a high speed, the load of the high-speed train and friction resistance to rails are reduced, and the service life of the high-speed train is prolonged. The rapid acceleration of the high-speed train is realized, and the consumption of electric power resources during high-speed driving is reduced.
