The invention discloses a control method and device for driving an active short circuit for an electric vehicle. The control method comprises the following steps that a PDU controller synchronously outputs an active short circuit safety state enable signal and a PDU relay turn-off signal; enabling the motor control system to exit the boost charging mode through a PDU relay turn-off signal; and after the motor control system quits the boost charging mode, the motor control system enters an active short-circuit safety state through the active short-circuit safety state enable signal. According to the invention, the risk that the motor controller enters an active short-circuit safety state by mistake due to a fault in a boost charging mode to cause damage to the driving module is solved.
